Our participation in the 10th World Conference on Democracy at the European Parliament was held at the Council of Europe Headquarters in Strasbourg and was titled 'Democracy: A New Hope.' Attending a conference at Radboud University in the Netherlands and visiting the ICC in The Hague
I participated in a two-day international conference on (Digitalisation of justice) at Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
I also then visited the International Criminal Court in The Hague to learn more about international crimes and how the court works as the essence of ICC law.
On the 22nd to 23rd of May 2024, I participated in a symposium held by the universities of Salahaddin, Duhok, Soran, and Zakho in Erbil, KRI. Regarding Iraqi federalism, I presented an article entitled: “
#Authority without a Constitution: The Identity of Authority in the Kurdistan Region.” In this work, I delved into the critical implications of the Kurdistan Region's lack of a written constitution, particularly concerning the dynamics of power and authority.
My presentation underscored the risks associated with the absence of a constitutional framework, which includes the perpetuation of traditional and personalized forms of authority. These practices hinder the development of a robust, institutionalized governance structure essential for political stability and good governance.
